The Ragdoll Engine Collective is a collection of artists formed in April 2010. It is a new company focused on marrying physical, articulated language with puppets, layered live sound, mime and comedy. Our performance goals seek to animate the spectator into action, laughter, participation and a fine tuned social body.
We have performed as part of the New Orleans Fringe (Adult Petting Zoo), The Downtown Clown Revue (NYC), Triskelion’s Comedy in Dance Festival (Brooklyn), Galapagos, AUNTS is Dance Festival (Brooklyn), John Leo’s TinyDangerousFun (Brooklyn), Rubulad (Brooklyn), The Moon Variety Show (Brooklyn), The Petri Space (Brooklyn), The Gutter (Brooklyn) and at other various other music venues and film screening events.
…We cut our teeth on the street, and have performed entire shows in the back of a traveling van…complete with a band sitting at the driver’s wheel and shotgun.
